So, you wanna make AMVs huh? Well, where to begin...

First you have to get a program that will edit your Anime Music Video Every windows computer comes with "Windows Movie Maker" It's a basic program that will get you started at video editing Other programs you can advance to after "Windows Movie Maker" (all on Kazaa) -Adobe Premiere: Great program with great effects, it's what most people use. -Ulead Media Studio: Great program with awesome effects, it's what I use.

Aside from having a program to edit the video, you also need a way to acquire footage. You can download your anime footage for your music videos, but you must try to find the highest quality videos as possible. A better way would be to get your own TV Tuner or Capture card to make your footage from DVDs or Video Tapes (or directly from TV) I use a TV Tuner that only cost me 45 bucks. It is called Aver TV, TV Tuner, and it's an internal device (goes inside your computer).

Once you have your footage and you have your editing program you can basically start your video. Windows Movie Maker is a user-friendly program that you will get used to quick, but it does have a lot of downsides. -worse quality when you export your video. -no effects to use (though you could use a program called "Virtual Dub" to add effect to your videos. -not very reliable, freezes sometimes, and often is very slow.

Thats basically all you need to do, the rest is just experience and talent. If you wanna see some of my Anime Music Videos go to my web- site at:

Also a great place to share/view music videos is Anime Music Videos.org:

I wouldnt recomend using window movie maker even if your a noob! I hate that program its really frusterating and it craps out all the time.... hmmm i would recomend either adamation or pinnacle program you can go to www.animemusicvideos.org they have a bunch of programs listed and reviews on them. When you pick your program you can just read the manuals and play around with it to figure what everything does. ;) good luck!
