Which one do you think is funnier and better, Ranma or Inu Yasha? I've seen some of Ranma's episodes but not Inu Yasha's. I'd heard that it is pretty funny.

They are both good so I recommend you watch both but if you want to watch something that just fun then I go for ranma. Sometime i laugh so hard I think I piss a little lol. J/K kinda werid odd of me to say that but it the best way to describe it lol. Inuyasha is good too but it get to serious later on and start to feel like a drag once u pass the 40+ or so so. Lot of fighting scene but not very exciting at all But you are going to love the reaction between Kikyo and the main character=) At least I did lol. Anyway my final thought are they are both great anime and should be watch by all anime lover out there.

I've watched up to end of Ranma season 5 and still watching Inuyasha, so far up to around ep: 70. Funnier? Ranma by far! Better? Ranma again! I'm not saying Inuyasha is crap, it's just that it gets to 'normal', nothing to keep me going especially with the lagging Naraku bullshit which probably ends after a zillion episodes! So yeh, the only 'sway' in my opinion can be found in maybe your definition of 'better'. If better means action, then Inuyasha i guess would win...

WARNING: A LITTLE SPOILER I read another in another discussion here, that the whole Naraku thing will be coming to an end in the second movie. If that's true, I don't know what they are going to do with the series from there. If you want to see a funny Inuyasha episode try episode 82, it's the funniest one I've seen. Sorry, I can't compare Inuyasha to Ranma as I haven't seen Ranma. However, although Inuyasha has plenty of serious moments there's also a laugh thrown in every now and then.

Ranma's funnier, but Inuyasha has a better story, i guess they even out in the end both being 2 of the best animes I've ever seen

Yes! InuYasha as some funny episode and as a beter storyline, but Ranma is the funniest by far if it's funny you want, you want Ranma or if its a good story you want, then I recommend InuYasha, actually I recommend that anyone should whatch both. From my point of view they are both some of the best anime I have seen.
