Why did Jesus cry out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me." In Mark 15:34? Because Mark 14:8 and in other scriptures he knew he was going to die for our sins. Do you think it was the human side of him and all the pain he was in?

He was quoting scripture.Psalm 22, penned several hundred years before, and known to most Jews, especially to "Pharisees", includes in it a description of a death by crucifixion. By evoking this psalm in the presence of those who mocked and scroned him, he was reminding them that God had already laid this thing out. Psalm 22 also ends in triumphant priase to the father. Though Matthew only gives a portion of the scripture, it is enough for the reader to understand what was happening on the cross.

THE REASON CHRIST CRIED OUT "MY GOD, MY GOD, ETC... IF YOU KNOW SCRIPTURE THEN YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS THE ONLY TIME JESUS REFERRED TO GOD AS "MY GOD", NORMALLY HE CALLED GOD "HIS FATHER, MY FATHER.BECAUSE ONCE HE WAS ON THE CROSS, CHRIST BECAME "SIN" FOR US.
BEFORE THIS, HE WAS THE "SPOTLESS LAMB OF GOD", NOW ON THE CROSS HE IS "SIN". GOD COULD NOT LOOK UPON HIM AT THAT MOMENT OF HIS DEATH.
GOD DID NOT FORSAKE HIM, OF COURSE NOT, BUT THIS IS THE ONE TIME "CHRIST" EXPERIENCED REJECTION FROM HIS FATHER. ONLY BECAUSE HE BECAME "SIN". WE KNOW SIN IS DISGUSTING IN THE EYES OF GOD.
SAME AS WITH HUMANS. GOD CANNOT LOOK AT US AS CLEAN, UNTIL WE ACCEPT "CHRIST" THE PERFECT SACRIFICE TO "COVER" OUR SINS.
