I have been prayerful about this new endeavor my daughter and I are about to do. And I discussed it with my Bishop, Bishop John Bryant. And we have received his support and prayers. My daughter and I are starting a weekly publication called "AME Herald" it will be more of a newspaper format and will have bureau chiefs who will send new information to us. We will have connectional news from around the world. IN NO WAY AM I TAKING OVER AME TODAY OR BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO THE MEMORY OF REV.JOHN FISHER. I would not have an A.M.E Church if it were not for the love and support from Rev. Fisher and those on the board. I will never be able to repay Rev. Fisher and sister Jan for all they have done. Our online newspaper will have discussion boards. My dream is that those boards will be used for specialized discussions such as "church growth suggestions" "young adult board etc." I personally will continue to post on the A.M.E today board and will put a link from our page to this discussion board with the permission of the moderator. This board is the "Mother Discussion Board" and my prayers are that it will never come down. Our site will also have a chat room and audio for sermons, speeches, recordings from conferences. So we will have real time chat available for those that want to participate. We will also have up to 100 free email accounts for those that would like one. My daughter and I will not get paid for this endeavor and we are only doing this for the tremendous love we have for our denomination. We already have a sponsor to get the site up and running. The site will be hosted by "Ourchurch.com" they only host Christian sites. And presently they are hosting 10,000 christian sites. They host my other online publications. Blessings magazine, and small and rural church united. There will be no ads. And the publication will be designed on Microsoft Publisher and will look very professional. We are asking for your prayers and support. Our intent is to keep the us connected by having current news. Our goal is to have it up in two weeks.God bless.

Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement!! I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to me. I have been working on the framework for the website all week, designing it, putting in links etc. and it has been fun. I am learning new things everyday and next week I will learn a new computer language and I will learn how to put audio/video files on the site. Yahoo! God has given me his vision and I am haveing a ball doing this. So my friends when I am talking to my computer and saying Hmm, why doesn't this fit. I have your words of encouragement to keep me going. The AME HERALD belongs to God, he has a plan for it and our denomination. My daughter and I are only his servants. sIS. Jean my daughter and I have been busy working on the publication and we thank you for your good wishes. We do hope you will view the publication on Monday April 28, 2003. The publication will be ready every Monday 7 AM EST. This is truly a connectional endeavor and we are all volunteers. What we are doing has been mandated by God. It was God who laid this on my heart. We at the Herald are servants of God and and his son Jesus Christ. God will reward us if he sees fit. I want everyone to know that we have 8 Bureau Chiefs, 3 columnists and a music editor. We are continuing a legacy that Rev. Fisher started a legacy of love for Christ and demonstrating that love by glorifing him through electronic media. My dream is that one day the AME Herald will be able to offer a journalism scholarship and it shall be called the "Rev. John Fisher journalism scholarship of excellence" for Rev. Fisher strived for excellence. I am the most blessed pastor/editor;-) in the world for the AME HERALD has some of the most talented people in the denomination on it's staff. We are all honored to be in service to God to help our denomination grow. Our Bureau Chiefs are:

Rev. Royd Mwandu, Rev. Albert Biwa, Connectional Officer Loretta Hill, Rev. Lorenzo Neal, Bob McCain, Rev. Eraina Aseme, Nalton Brangman and Barbara Robinson.
