How does FTP work?/ The New Ranma Project has ftp but every time click on it, it doesn't work

Probably the reason is that the webmasters of the site don't have an FTP program operating^^. FTP connects directly to another's computer so if the person is offline or not running an FTP software at the moment, it won't work. If the main site doesn't have an current updates or an active forum, the FTP might've been abandoned...

Argh!!!! I just tried their FTP and it worked fine for me... The reason for this was stated on the front page: "Due to my bandwidth limitation, I do have a maximum of 7 users at a time" . I hope that this answered your questions.

try an FTP client. Internet Explorer only works on a few types of FTP protocols.
