what happend to Edgar dad?? some say he left when edgar was 2 and other say that he died when edgar was 3 along with his mother so which 1 is it?????????????

Poe's father indeed left the family when Edgar was a baby. His mother died while touring with a stage group.

I was just doing research on him and what I have found on a few sites is that they family split when he was about 1 year. His mother died when he was almost three and his father a few weeks of a month later.
