To make ROMs, you need a special disc that connects your cartridges to your A:\ drive, so therefore you need an ENGLISH CARTRIDGE, WHICH WOULD RELEASE IN AMERICA. BUT, it is possible to have a ROM in English before it's released in the US, or if it never was released in US. They do this by dismantaling the HTML of a Japanese ROM and reconfiguring the graphics, the text, and everything else that makes this game a game so it converts into English. If you'ever ever heard of Star Ocean? Currently, DeJap.com's staff is 50% through making this Japanese only SNES game into English. You can get the FFT-jap rom http://www.amardu.com/index.php, when you first get to the page.. Browse the bottom-right corner for the section #Amardu pic#.. You will get the updated user and password there(#Changed weekly) Then go to search the ++Emu&Rom Zone++ section for the FFT rom... after you clicked download.. a new page will open up.. sometime the *Forbbien* or *Cannot Download* msg would appear.. *Forbbien*-clear your cookies, set your security options all to low and try again... *Cannot download*-at the end of the msg.. just click "I agree" to proceed... *Remember the user and password on the mainpage.... *News to share I have gone through all the possible webby for a translation for the game for a month an half already but in vain...so dn't waste your time anymore on trying to find the English patch.. It's nt up yet.. but there 2 translator group have already place FFT as one of their project.. so juz hold on to your horses.

i have one suggestion. if you can't get a translation patch, and don't want to use the translation page because it only translates the story, try this- find a Kanji-english translation program. it takes a little bit of work but you can work it like that. if you need one, e-mail me, and i'll see if i still have the link.

actually, there is a partially( around 44%) translated patch going around on kazaa, but it takes forever to find, and doesn't always download right(i have yet to hear anyone get it to work), but if you're foolish enough to look, or desperate enough, have fun. just don't expect anything to work. Also- to those wanting an english rom- it's possible, but illegal. Square/Enix has had the game finished in english since may, so it's possible to find a rom, but only if someone swiped a copy of the game from the company, then dumped it into a rom.
