Brothers and Sisters

With the present state of affairs of our Church and the various discussions and suggestions over this past year. Do you feel there should be a finance summit charting the future direction of our denomination? Philadelphia would be the perfect place for it. There may be suggestions and plans that can help our Connectional Program. Feed Back Anyone?

AMEN!! AMEN!! and praise the Lord all the time. MY brother this is exactly what AME needs today. I was just curios to find out when an AME Finance session will take place. Where the church meet and strat to put up a decent budget for the new millenium. Such a budget should take into consideration all the AME institutions, Development in the misssions areas etc. I suggest we look at a four year rolling budget, that will enable us to determine how much money is needed to be raised to ciover the budget over a period of four years to be collected at the beginning of year one. Huge interest may be accrued should the church look at stable economies of developing countries like South Africa, Namibia Botswana etc. and bring major investements where high interest rates are available.

Furthermore, every year the budget and plans should be revised to see whether we are still in line with the needs of our people as well as the changing development trends. Well I hope the commanders in chief will pick it up.
