Herewith I just wanted to express that with all you mention in this website I agree . The disclosure of the abuse happened about 4 years ago. I received no help from Social Services. Because of the severe Post Traumatic Stress that my daughter suffered she was placed in a terrible grouphome even though I had the insurance to provide for excellent care. The psychiatrists and therapists that I dealt with did more harm than good. I was treated worse than my ex who was the abuser and I was the one that filed a report. My oldest daughter came back home after she was terminated from the grouphome after a caring social worker reported that my daughter belonged at home. She has been improving ever since. Women are terribly judged when sexual abuse occurs in their home. Women need to be believed and protected, consequently we will be able to protect the children as well.
