Contraversy: Is Subbed better than Dubbed? --- ---

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Animes : One Thread

I would have to say that subbed is ultimately 100 times better than dubbed versions. I would rather quickly glance at text at the bottom of the page then watch someones lips moving and suddenly stop and hear him/her still continue to talk.

Only old Kung-Fu movies have the right to remain dubbed.

Just wanted to see if anyone disagrees. Hope not.

I think we can all agree that Kung-Fu movies should remain dubbed. ;)

Speaking as someone who suffered through the dubs of a lot of anime on American TV, I can safely say... Dubbing stinks! What were the dubbing companies smoking when they cast the English voices for "Sailor Moon", "Dragon Ball", and others?? Give me subtitled anime any day of the week!

all the people who watch anime dubbed are lazy, can't find it subbed or watch excel saga(excell talks so fast the subbing goes away before you can read it

The gundam Wing Dubbs are actually pretty good. 'Course in that series, the animators don't really pay much attantion to mouth details, so its not as noticable when they dont match the words. And, I wouldn't want the subs to take away from the action in Gundam Wing. Gundam Wing Rules!
