The story on "dateline" tonite was about the incredible hospital billing ripoff that goes on with 90% of people's bills. One thing struck me as really funny-sad. On one person's bill she was trying to figure out what a "mucus collection system was". She finally was told she had paid a gastly amount of money for a freaking box of kleenex!!!!.....Its a crooked world folks and they all want your money....Kirk

Answers

Never check into a hospital without your own supplies, such as Kleenex, pencil/pen (for crosswords or whatever), notepad, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc.! The charges are phenomenal, AND like as not, the tissue paper will be that harsh coarse stuff that rips your nose off. I think I'd even bring a roll of nice, soft TP! :-D

Good advice Joy. Last year when I spent some time in the hospital I didn't think to take any of those things.

A lady on that show made a pretty good living just figuring out people's bills! Might be a nice home business for a person huh?...Kirk
