JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded in Jerusalem on Friday, injuring the man police said carried out the attack.

An Israeli police spokesman said that the bomb detonated in the car in a parking lot on Monvaz Street in central Jerusalem. Ambulances were heard racing through the streets.

"It was in the center of Jerusalem. The terrorist is lightly injured." the police spokesman said.
