Does anyone know about a WILLIAM WALKER who is listed as a Chain carrier on my GGG Grandfathers land survey in 1804 Montgomery Co. NC ? The Chain carriers were both James Rogers, SR. and WILLIAM WALKER. Here is the 1801 Land WArranty with Land Survey of 1804 for William Rogers with William WALKER as chain carrier :

Here is info on the Carroll Co. TN Land Occupants deed for same WILLIAM ROGERS now listed as WILLIAM L. ROGERS of Carroll Co. TN and RADFORD WALKER of WILSON CO. TN ( owner of the land that Rogers purchased in 1834 Carroll Co. TN along Big Sandy River ).

This indenture made and entered into this 1st day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four by and between Radford Walker of the County of Wilson and State of Tennessee of the one part, and William L. Rogers of the County of Carroll and state afore’d of the other part. Witneseth that the said Radford Walker for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said William L. Rogers, his heirs and aforsigns, a certain tract of parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Carroll & State of Tennessee on the water of Big Sandy River and butted and bound as follows – Beginning on William Oziers North boundary line running west with said line to Sandy River, thence with the meanders of the sd. River to Wilson Lightfoots South boundary line thence East to the East boundary of the old original survey of Longs, thence South to the beginning, containing by estimation, two hundred and seventy-five acres be the same more or less with all and singular the heritainments & appurtenances these unto belonging or ( illegible ) appertaining and all the estate right, title, claim and interest whatever of him the said Radford Walker of ( Wilson ? ) and to the said lands and premises above mentioned, and every part and parcel there of with the appurtenances unto the said William L. Rogers his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Radford Walker for himself and his heirs the said land and premises & every other part and parcel thereof against himself this heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend to the said William L. Rogers, his heirs and aforesign’s. In witness whereof, the said Radford Walker has unto set his hand and Seal the date above written - Attest - Radford Walker ( SEAL )

State of Tennessee Personally appeared before me Josiah L. McClain, clerk Wilson County of the County Court of Wilson County. Radford Walker, the within-named bargainer, with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the written deed for the purposes therein Executed .
