THE BELIN FAMILY

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

It is with deep regret that I announce the passing of the mother our beloved bishop, Bishop Henry Allen Belin, Jr, presiding Bishop of the Seventh Episcopal District. Mrs. Beatrice Boney Belin lived along and fruitful life until last Friday, November 8. She was 96 years old. She was a pastor's wife and a bishop's mother.

The worship service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 11 AM at Green Chapel AME Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Please pray for our Bishop, his brother and sister, his wife and family as they are in need of our prayers. May Mrs. Belin's soul rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.

I'm from the Seventh Episcopal District, we just had our 79th session of the Central Annual Conference. It ended saturday the 9th. And I then heard about the Bishop's mother. Everyone was deeply sadden. I'm speaking for my church, Oaks A.M.E. Church, Summerton,SC. There are so many things on earth we simply can't explain why one of us is taken while the rest of us remain. But till the day we see the Lord and he makes all things clear. We must find comfort knowing that his love is ever near. We will all pray for the Bishop family. Clara Nelson
