What happend to Poe's brother and sister after his parents died

Answers

The children were split. The older brohter, Henry, became a sailor, alcoholc, amateur writer whoo shared some sthings with Edgar. Died before Edgar's career got going. Rosalie outlived Poe but never married either and died fairly miserably and not at an advanced age. Probably sheltered from the boys so she never even had a chance for intimacy. No share in the legacy.

Umm, he did have a younger sister in his life, too. I don't know her name but I do know that she was born right before their mother died. When she was 3 and Edgar was 8, she caught a disease. He tried to nurse her back (just like he did for his mother) to health but she died. She was the second girl that he loved dearly to pass away a little after his mother which was the first. His brother was just like his father, he became an alcoholic and ended up leaving Edgar with Mr. Allan (Mrs. Allan who was like a second mother to Edgar died before his brother left him).
