I have been surfing around the Early Day Motion site. There are a couple of EDMs's that are relevant to old respossessions and shortfall chasing.

EDM 62 Debt Recovery EDM 161 Limit on Homes Debt Repayment EDM 818 Mortgage Mis-Selling and Excess Profits EDM 844 Time Limits on Debt Recovery EDM 995 Accuracy of Banking and Building Society Credit Reference Agency Information.

There are others, but I couldn't be bothered to read them all.

Obviously, MP's are concerned enough about these issues to raise them in Parliament. If we ALL made our MP's aware of what is really going on, perhaps they would put more pressure on the institutions causing our anguish, then something would have to be done.

I was interested in EDM 995 on your list. But when I looked at teh House of Commons EDM site EDM 995 has nothing to do with banking?

What am I doing wrong?

I see what you mean about EDM 995!

I found it by going into session 99/00 (top right of page) Search (top left of page) - Standard Search Under 'Search for' type mortgage It now appears under EDM 995 -- Accuracy of Banking & Building Society Credit Reference Agency Information.

Yes, got there in the end.

I have a problem because I'm forced to access the internet remotly from a Sun box via a dialed PVN connection. It works ok, but some web pages give strange errors. The EDM page is one of those, but I manged to select session=99 on the web address line and it worked ok.
