Murder He Wrote: The Washington Beltway Sniper

The 80s tv star Angela Lansberry portrayed a detective story writer skilled at solving complicated murder puzzles for local law enforcement officials. It was aptly named, "Murder She Wrote". Recent events in the Nation's Capitol have griped an entire 4.5 million + community caused by the senseless, cowardly and unprovoked actions of indiscriminate shootings and murder. If anything is clear in the demented mind of this serial killer it is that every man, woman and child is a potential victim for his repugnant taste. His notes of self-proclaimed deity and monetary blackmail combined with a reckless disregard for human life is evidence of a person consumed with a reprobate mode of thinking. Crimes against humanity are not just limited to Wash DC. In Milwaukee, WI last month several youth hooligans kill an adult male. In Baltimore, MD last week a black woman takes a principled stand against her apartment complex being a haven for crack distribution. The thanks she recieved is being the victim, along with her 5 CHILDREN, of a horrific act of arson caused by a male acquaintance who thought she was undermining the illegal drug business in the neighborhood. The mother along with her children perished in the fire. As Thomas Paine declared in his influential 18th century classic, Common Sense, "These are the times which try men's souls". I feel much like King David in Psalm 2:1 when he uttered the timeless words, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing"? QED
