Runtime Error 13 Incompatible Typegreenspun.com : LUSENET : Anders Petersson's Freeware Forum : One Thread |
Hello,Everytime I try to open a file, or to search throug catalogues, or nearly every action in OCDB I get the following message
Erreur d'exécution 13 Type Incompatible
In english, it could be Runtime Error 13 Incompatible Type
When I installed OCDB, everything worked fine. But now, nothing does :))
Do you have an idea ?
I tried to uninstall and reinstall OCDB : doesn't work better.
If you don't see any solution, can you tell me the list of file used by OCDB. I can delete them before reinstalling again
Thank you
JF

Hey JF.Seems like one or more of your cdr (catalog) files are corrput. Try to remove them from the OCDB storage path (usually "C:\program files\Offline CD Browser") and see it OCDB runs. If it does, you can copy the files back one by one to see which one is fault.

It doesn't work better. Even with no catalogs in the folder I get the same error. I can recreate a catalog without problems, but as soon as i try to open it or search it : Error 13 ... incompatible type.what registry key is used ? Maybe that come from there as it is not removed during uninstal ...

I have the same problem, too. But the error message is "Run-time error 13: Type mismatch".I use Windows XP, and I reinstall the program, still the same.
Can anyone solve the problem?
Thanks!!!

The problem is that the software you are running is designed using a different regional setting than the operating system you are using. This occurs frequently when Spanish or Portuguese Operating Systems are running a program (usually VB created) that has it's time and date settings set for US settings. It can go deeper than that but this is the source of your runtime error 13. Provide specifics such as operating system, Eng, Spanish German, etc etc and what program is causing the runtime error.

See for the regional settings, if it's comma, change for point, if point change for coma. Dont forget that you have two place to change: on number tab and on currency tab.

***************************************************************No need to fool around with the regional settings. That's a joke.
Go to the following page and download the new patch from the original site, install it, it will fix the run-time error problem.

Here's the flie to download, just extract to the installed directory where the OfflineCDBrowser.exe is: (this url might change.)
