Can't Chose Between CAPPA and DONA-PLEASE help!!!!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Doula.Com General Discussion : One Thread |
Hello! I live in Maryland and have three wonderful children and wish to become a Doula. My problem is trying to decide between DONA and CAPPA. I am leaning more towards CAPPA.I want to become a member ASAP, but do not know which one to go with.
Any thoughts? Opinions on either? It would mean A LOT to me. THANK Y)OU!!!

Hi Liz,As a DONA-certified doula, I was more than happy with my training and the certification process in general. (At least up until the end when it took forever for the person processing my paperwork to finish!). However, as the state representative for CAPPA, I've been blown over by the positive support offered by this organization. Their certification program is also very good and very affordable. If you would like more information about any of their programs, email me at DoulaCindy@CHesapeakeBirthCompanions.com and I'd be happy to elaborate!

Not to make life more difficult, but have you heard of ALACE? www.alace.org. It is a wonderful organization based in Cambridge, MA but they hold trainings all over the country as well.
