Go to http://www.vcdhelp.com for a tutorial on how to do this. You should be aware that copy protecting your VCDs may make them unplayable in some players and that a knowledgeable person may be able to copy your VCDs through indirect methods anyway. I'm sure you are losing thousands, if not millions of dollars due to the actions of your friends, so I wish you the best in protecting your VCDs.

I'm not sure who's funnier, you or Root. However, if your question is serious, I have a couple of questions:
1. Are these DVD rips or other pirated stuff? If so, the irony of your conundrum is causing my side to split.
2. Are these your own movies (as in you were director, DP, producer, etc.)? If so, a word of advice-- girls like to be told they are being filmed before you tape them in compromising positions. Not to mention that if you are distributing them, you need to have them sign model release forms first.
3. If the VCDs in question fall into situation no. 2, could you send me and Root a copy? We promise not to copy them.
Cheers
