This weekend I attended my second Promise Keepers (PK) rally in Dallas with 10 other men from my church. 17,600 Christian men gathered in the Maverick's old arena to worship Jesus and learn to be better men of God. Hundreds of men made commitments to the Lord, and we were priveleged to hear world class speakers and musicians. I was also glad to take my 14 year old for the first time. I treated it as a milestone in his growth to Christian manhood.I'd think PK would be an organization any church would want hook up with. Have any of your churches gone to an event, or used any of their material for Bible studies or accountability groups?
If not, let me encourage all to get involved. They go out of their way to reach out to all ethnic groups, are big on mentoring, and focus on saving and building up men into Christ's image. This year they introduced their three year campaign to see 1 million men saved, as well as an outreach to youth.
It's through organizations like this we'll see unity brought to Christ's Body, and health restored to the church.

Gladly! Their website is www.promisekeepers.org. BTW, I forgot to mention their upcoming conference for pastors and their wives in Phoenix. You've never lived until you've heard thousands of men singing "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace".
