Heading for New, Orleans, Houston & San Antonio

Hitting the road today. Looking forward to seeing some folks on this BB as I travel west. Time and online connection permitting, I will try to keep a log on the different AME churches I visit. Oh, yes, I will be taking "small sample of distinctive food" at each stop. Since our Doctrine & Discipline recognizes reasonable sustentation, might as well take advantage :-) QED

Bro. Bill I will keep you in prayer as you travel and I will also pray for the protection of your family as you travel. What exactly are you doing that you are traveling across country? I know the obvious answer is that you are looking for food, and gathering receipes for an ame cook book that you are going to write. Or could it be that you have taken your singing act on the road and you are preparing to be the next Maxwell or Luther Van Dross.

Brother Bill...be blessed as you travel and enjoy life! While in New Orleans (Naw'Lins), have a twice baked potato for all of your "homies and peeps" who have to work!

Brother (Esteemed Professor) Dickens,

Are you coming as far West as beautiful, sunny Southern California? If so, it would be a real honor to meet you and have you stop and fellowship a moment or two with my wife and I and the wonderful folk at Johnson Chapel AMEC, Santa Ana, CA. Blessings, Mike Barta

I just completed an incredible lunch at a restaruant in the French Quarters (alligator, crab, twice baked potatoe, gumbo, etc.). I stopped by Historic St. James AME in New Orleans for a visit. The church was founded in 1844. Fascinating history!! More later. QED
