My wife and I will be in Kenya for an Operation Smile stint in October, and would love to do the Normal route on Nelion. Do you think it would be in condition the last week of Oct? Other thoughts were the SW ridge and the N.face standard. We did the Ice Window route a few years ago during that season, and had a great climb, but we'd like to make a lighter trip of it on the rock. What would you suggest?

Bob and Lisa The normal route on Nelion would probably be a bit iced up at that time, but still doable I'm sure. SW ridge (I haven't done) and N. face standard would both be good prospects at that time. Will
