Are my dreams supposed to tell me something about myself or others?

There are two schools of thought on this matter, one is that there are two schools of thought ! Seems that in my experience I would answer that question only in regard to myself and the answer would be a qualified yes. There are times I think where my dreams were just brain play while the soul sleeps but other times they gave me a clear reading and did tell me something. There have been times when my dreams have shown me which direction I should go or how to look at a certain thing sensibly. Oft times problems worked on in dreams turn up good solutions for use in real life.
