I am a bit confused about the elapsed time and the CPU time as is recorded in SQL Trace files. I have a case where CPU time is more than that of the Elapsed time ? How is this possible? in my understanding Elapsed time should always be more than the CPU time , for the CPU time is the time actually spent by the CPU for processing my request. Isn't it ? Please respond ASAP.
