I am going to model the Southern arouth the south east aroun Atlanta and I need to know back in the 1940-60 did the SOuthern use the REA. As far as I know I have never seen any REA box cars behand any Souther Passenger trains or any other trains.

Answers

Until 1965 Southern carried REA express on its passenger trains. They stopped in 1965, but continued to use some REA reefers for bulk mail. They continued to carry some REA, but only in intermodal containers and trailers.
