What's difference between ILFORD ID-11 and KODAK D-76 ?

I prefer ILFORD DELTA 400. However, it is very difficult to buy ID-11 or DD-X in China. I want replace it with D-76.

The original formulas for D-76 and ID-11 are identical, however, they might have been modified a little. Not much though and you can use the same times for both. ID-11 comes in two parts and is said to be a little faster to mix than D-76. so, go ahead and use D-76. No problemo. :-)

Shi: I use the D 76 packaged by Guan Long in 250 and 500 mm packs once and throw it away.

It is very cheap by western standards. I get good results with D-76 on all B&W films, but not quite as sharp as T Max.

I once heard that ID 11 is D 76 with a very small amount of an organic acid in it to "do Something" to the highlights.

Cheers
