We have said the lord's prayer all of our lives. In church and at home. What does this prayer mean to you? Is there a special line in the prayer that has special significance to you. How do we keep this prayer fresh and powerful in our daily lives?

My personal feeling is that "The Lords Prayer" is the most powerful that I have ever experience. If you just sit down and analys what/who is covered in the prayer, you will see that everything/person that you can think of is covered. For example you even forgive you enemies in the prayer, something that we usualy don't do. My favourate part in the prayer are "and forgive us, our traspasses as we forgive those who traspasses against us" - this part teach me not to forgive only my enemies but also to love them as God love us...

Rev. Rogers, I wrote something on that if I may share.

OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN Because we are Sons and daughters of God we can cry Abba Father "Daddy". God gives so much better than the best of our earthly fathers. The wealth of the world is in his hands. Before we pray our mindset needs to first acknowlege that we are praying to our Father who resides in heaven. All the wealth and needs of this earthly life (both tangible and intangible) are stored in our Father's house.

HOLLOWED BE THY NAME

Distinguished from and is above all names and positions of authority. God is more than enough and is able to give excedingly above everything we could ever ask for or receive.

THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

In Hebrews 10: 7 it reads, "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. This was spoken by the Word (Jesus), the only begotten Son of God, before he was sent from heaven as the incarnation of God. In Jesus the kingdom of God has come unto us.

We are praying to a Father who has predestinated us to be his children and has made known unto us the mystery of his will; (Ephesians 1:5-9),has the desire that we prosper and be in good health for the body and soul (3 John 1-3) and it is his will, not that we parish, but repent and have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Jesus came that we will have access to heavenly things. This is the Father's will. "Seek ye first the kingdom and all other things will be added unto you." In Jesus is indeed the kingdom and seeking him, we have access to heavenly, priestly and eternal riches.

There is a song that says "Whatever we want, it's all in the name of Jesus; Whatever we need, it's all in the name of the Lord; Whatever we want it's all in the name of Jesus; Call him in the morning, (Abba Father); Call him in the noonday, (Abba Father) call him in the evening, (Abba Father) He's the same sweet Jesus," (our intecessor and our access to the Father's never changing kingdom.)

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS.

It seems ironic that give and forgive would be in the same thought. We have the authority to ask and it shall be given. All that we need and desire we can just ask the Father In the Name of Jesus and we will receive it. However Jesus knew and understood that we needed to ask to be forgiven for the debts and the transgressions and sins we would bring upon ourselves. He also knew we would need to pray for those, who because of greed would entice us to be in debt and to sin. To partake of our daily bread means we receive according to the measure of grace God has allotted. What we fail to realize is what God has allotted us, not only is sufficient, but will fill us. The greed in us causes us to want for tomorrow; and we seek a source other than the Father. We become in debt and will find ourselves in sin.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL

We may be led into the wilderness, just as Jesus was, to be tempted; but the focus is not on the temptation, but the deliverance. Jesus said any person that desired to follow him, should first deny himself and take up their cross and follow him. The path Jesus leads in not the way to temptation, though we may be tempted. Jesus was lead into the wilderness by the Spirit, not to receive of the kingdom, but to show us we can be delivered from the temptation. (Luke 4th chapter) We have to understand Jesus knows the beginning from the end. He knows there are some temptations we will go through as long as Satan is the prince and power the the air. Satan will offer things and solutions to life, but not according to the measure God has allotted. Satan offers, but God GIVES. Satan offered to Jesus; just like he offered to Eve. Jesus understood all that Satan offered to him, belonged to God, and he would have and gain in due time. Jesus is saying to us that Satan is going to offer us things and solutions to problems in a "right now" fashion. God's desire is to give us daily the things we have need of. If you accept the "right now" things; by the time you need them, they will have been wasted or used up. Remember the Israelites and the greed with the manna. (Exodus 16:16- 21)

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM AND THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN

God is infinite. The Kingdom, power and Glory belong to him. And that settles it.
