Bought it last week. The photography is pedastrian, but the advice is excellent. Who said that the best teachers are also great photographers? (All color, no B&W)

If you are inquiring about 'Large Format Nature Photography', yes I would recommend it. Easy to read, full of useful information about equipment and technique.

I purchased my copy of the Dykinga book from View Camera a few weeks ago. Although Jack is using Arca Swiss and Wista field cameras with Schneider lenses, and only doing color transparencies, the shooting tips and techniques shown in the book, can be applied to any camera, lens manufacturer, and B&W film. Definitely worth adding to your library.

Anyone know if you can by this book in the UK? Any idea what it costs? Thanks.

The photographs are second to none. The examples are good. The text is OK, perhaps a little vague I wish he had gone into a little more depth, I read the book from cover to cover in an evening. Why not get it from the library and decide from there?
