Has anyone else recieved info on a book called, "Theology Simplified"?

It is written by Lonzo Pribble from the Non-instrumental Church of Christ. The just of it is "Why the doctrine of the Trinity is neither reasonable nor biblical... all Trinitarian arguments refuted."

What surprised me is that it has been advertised in 3 church of Christ publications. He also claims that Barton W Stone rejected the doctrin of Trinity at the outset of the Restoration Movement.

Has anyone seen the book? Ideas or thoughts?

I haven't seen the book but it is true that Barton Stone rejected the orthodox understanding of the Trinity. In my Restoration History course we were taught that he was a heretic.

There seem to be a number of folks from the non- church of Christ who reject ortodox teaching re: the Trinity ... and it seems to be gaining some ground within the Christian Church as well.

There are a couple of doctrines found is some non- church of Christ congregations and preachers like this. Another is a growing number fo preachers and teachers from non- church of Christ backgrounds who reject the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. In a nutshell, they believe the Spirit indwells the Word, only, and not the Christian.

Before we changed this thread, there were a couple of folks from the non- church of Christ background who posted quite a lot. I asked about this indwelling question a couple of times, but never received any response.

I don't believe it is the majority view within the non's, but there are any number to hold to this view.

re: the rejection of the Trinity, that is a new one. Have to check it out.

Weren't Gwenn Shamblin's roots in the NON's? I believe she was part of a "NON" group before she started her"Remnant Fellowship." I find that anti-trinitarianism is a heresy that is increasingly rearing it's ugly head in all sorts of different circles.

In 1999 she and her family were members / attenders of the Otter Creek church of Christ (non) in Nashville, TN.

Since that time she has started her own "non-denominational denomination" called Remnent Fellowship, with congregations all over the US. At her website:
