I'm beginning to get into close up shots with my F2A. Since the DP-11 metered viewfinder is already magnified, will a x2 eyepiece benefit me much, or are eyepieces generally used with non-metered prisms? Please humor me, I'm just an amatuer.

I'm not sure why you expect to need extra magnification. It is generally nt difficult to focus accurately when making closeups. The depth of field is generally pretty shallow, which helps the image to snap smartly in and out of focus, especially in the macro range. I think I'd spend the money first on a macro lens, unless you already have one. Are you actually having trouble focusing closeups, or just anticipating trouble?
