What is your least favorite household chore?? I am cleaning today and I will say that mine is cleaning bath-tubs!!! I don't mind ironing, waxing floors, cooking, dishes, laundry, but cleaning bathtubs is not too much fun!!!
-- Melissa in SE Ohio (me@home.net), May 07, 2002
I hate pumping and heating water for my showers. And I especially hate taking those showers outside when there is a breeze blowin'. brrrrrrrrrr
-- Cabin Fever (cabinfever_MN@yahoo.com), May 07, 2002.
Wow Cabin Fever! Now anything I could say after that would REALLY sound like whining. I second cleaning bathtubs! and shower door gunk! And vacuuming! My vacuum always gets bound up with all that long hair (lots of long haired women in this house). I have to stop and fix it all the time!

bathroom has my vote. I will do everything else first thinking maybe someone else will do the baths. Yeh, right!
-- Micheale from SE Kansas (mbfrye@totelcsi.net), May 07, 2002.
The toilet! I have 5 boys in the house and none know how to aim!!! Come on how hard can it be?
-- buffy (buffyannjones@hotmail.com), May 07, 2002.
Come on Cab, tell the truth!!! The only reason you take a shower outside is that you don't want to clean a bathtub!!!!!
-- Melissa in SE Ohio (me@home.net), May 07, 2002.
Dusting is probably my least favorite thing to do as far as housework goes. I try to do it at least once a month. Usually invite someone to dinner to motivate me! If I don't move "stuff" around too much I don't notice how dusty it is getting.
-- Nancy (nannyb@huntel.net), May 07, 2002.
Nancy I'm with you I hate tto dust but love to clean the kitchen and the bathroom, can't stand either dirty.
-- Sandy(N.E.Fl) (REDNECKGIRL32@prodigy.net), May 07, 2002.
With a woodburner and living on a dirt road, I dust about every day. But I do not have a lot of stuff out to clean around so that helps a lot!
-- Melissa in SE Ohio (me@home.net), May 07, 2002.
Whadya mean, Melissa? There is no bathtub in my one-room cabin (no toilet either!) My winter bathtub is a plastic cement mixing trough that you can buy at any building supply store.
-- Cabin Fever (cabinfever_MN@yahoo.com), May 07, 2002.
It was a joke!!!!
-- Melissa in SE Ohio (me@home.net), May 07, 2002.
melissa, Ironing what is that. I know you hang clothes out, so would be wrinkled. Love my dryer. I quess what I hate the worse is the bathtub. But there is so much I don"t like doing. cleaning up after the dogs and cats. a huge porch that needs cleaning. trying to just keep the dirt off the floors. Oh Yes cleaning the refridgerator.
-- Irene texas (tkorsborn@cs.com), May 07, 2002.
Cleaning the whole bathroom is by favorite, my least favorite in cleaning the stove top, generally, Here it's sweeping the floor, mostly cause it doesn't do a bit of good, when they're finally sanded it won't be so bad.

Housework? What's that? I don't actually mind housework, it's picking up all the c*** beforehand that gets left laying around I hate! My husband isn't any better than the boys (he says, well, it's already a mess, so what difference does it make?! - I say Well, if you would pick up your junk, there wouldn't be so much laying there, would there?!).After everything is picked up, the actual cleaning doesn't take too long!
I do NOT like to fold sheets, so I usually just take them off, wash and dry them and put them right back on the bed! This way I only have to have two sets for each bed, just in case I don't get the dirty ones washed in time!
-- Christine in OK (cljford@mmcable.com), May 07, 2002.
What I'm getting ready to do - mop. Probably because it hurts my back. I guess after that would be the tub. Thank God for shower curtains to hide the mess!!!
-- Barb in Ky (bjconthefarm@yahoo.com), May 07, 2002.
Christine I relate completly with the sheets! I cannot CANNOT! fold a fitted sheet. My mother in law has hers in these little tiny perfect packages. Mine are kind of rolled/folded/crumpled. I just cant get those corners together and then neatened. My linen closet is about the biggest embarassment in my home :)

Well Cabin Fever makes me sound like a whinney-grandma!!!! ha!!But I hate to clean the bath room stool also------- When we owned a motel-----I had way tooooooooooooo many to clean----& people staying in a motel don't seem to care how messy they are------- And I always was fixing those darn things-----I actually had them named!!!!!! ha!---So I always said/ I knew everyone of those darn stools on a first name basis!!! ha!
When we sold the motel---- I said/ I don't want to clean dozens of bathroom stools again---nor do I want to fix them!!!!!!!!!!
Since we are in a house with only ONE bathroom now I should not complain---------but I still hate to clean that one stool!!! ha!
-- Sonda in Ks. (sgbruce@birch.net), May 07, 2002.
This will sound nutty, but I cannot think of anything! I actually like to clean! I enjoy cleaning the bathroom, including the toilets...LOL...weirdo.......it's the outside things I hate, like grocery shopping..YUCK! I drove everyone insane when I had a housefull of folks...got up, put the coffee on, opened all the windows, SANG and started cleaning....."The hills are aliveeeeeee"...Morning people are by nature cleaners....It's a good way to get the kids to get out of the house LOL
-- lesley (martchas@bellsouth.net), May 07, 2002.
Vacuuming. I abhor vacuuming. DH has promised me central vac soon -- I won't mind so much then -- it's just the act of dragging that darned vacuum all over the place!
-- Tracy (trimmer31@hotmail.com), May 07, 2002.
Well Lesley--you little -pea picker---where on earth---have you been all my life /when I needed you---ha!-------my how many motel maids you could have trained for me to clean-----I hated to train maids----- to clean---you could have sung them into cleaning!!!!! ha!
-- Sonda in Ks. (sgbruce@birch.net), May 07, 2002.
Boy am I not like Lesley! I don't much like cleaning (although I don't mind the bathroom too much, since at least it looks nice and white for a while after I clean!) at all. I virtually never dust, so I can't complain too much about it. I don't mind doing laundry, but I *hate* sorting and folding. And I'm not much for cleaning out under the fridge and behind the stove - eeewww!
-- Sharon in NY (astyk@brandeis.edu), May 07, 2002.
house work............... Bob se,ks.
-- Bobco (bobco@kans.com), May 07, 2002.
Hey Leslie-you can come to my house...if you clean my house, I'll sure put up with your singing.....
-- Kelly (homearts2002@yahoo.com), May 08, 2002.
I have three daughters that help me out alot around the house. The chore I don't like to do is mopping. I have to be in the house cleaning mood to mop.
-- sweet_mae (sweet_mae86@hotmail.com), May 08, 2002.
I really dislike cleaning out the refrigerator. My whole family makes fun of the things I grow in it. I also don't like to dust or wash windows that I have to climb a ladder to do. I don't like cleaning out the gutters on the house and hubby won't do it either, so guess what? Never, never gets done. Ha! Now toilets, I love sparkly white toilets, my own that is. We have two rentals and could I tell you stories- believe me you don't want to know. Yes and I am the one who gets to clean them, although hubby gets to remove them totally if needed. Hubby is a dear, sweet man but he doesn't clean anything in the house so I better go now and do something.
