I recently experienced a leaky kitchen faucet and didn't have the time to immediately repair it. At first I found the "non leaking lever parking position" , which worked for about 3 months(if this works to stop the drip, the faucet ain't really broke :>). When this quit working, I found that running the hot water to heat up the ball valve and cause expansion worked to stop the drip. Of course with having to use hot water, I replaced the ball valve assembly within the week.

Jay, I have the same prblem going on with one of my faucets. Haven't tried the hot water yet. I'm still in the "parking position". I suppose one of these days I have to fix it!

Jay and Sherry that is why I replaced my fixture in my bathroom. I know both of you remember the event. I did the parking and the hot water, I even did the turn the water off under the sink until you need it. I couldn't access the screw behind the ball joint leaver thingie so I had to replace the whole unit. It works great now!
