Introducing myselfgreenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread |
Hello. I"ve been lurking off and on for a while and thought I'd introduce myself.I'm a 37 year old woman, live in east Texas, and, obviously, love to garden. I have a little half acre here that I'm trying to make into a micro-homestead until such time as I can find larger accomodations! I keep quite a few hens, but that's about all the smallstock I have time for.
Hope to contribute on occasion to this forum.

Welcome Gardener! Jump in, we're a fun and friendly bunch. You don't have to worry about voicing your opinion here! We may jest with you but it is fairly harmless!

Welcome to the site. If you have lurked for any period of time, you will know I HAVE WORMS! :>) If you don't know, then I beat my "evil nemeses " , Jim-mi and Susan to the punch :>) I also utilize BISF on a small tract and am always interested in new gardening techniques. The John Seymour self sufficiency series covers small tract homesteading very well.

Hi there Gardener! I see that I've got to defend myself. I would almost never jest about worms or some such. But I might try to throw in a chuckle or two once in a cheezy blue moon.Make no excuses for the size of your plot of land. At least you are doing something constructive with it. How many way larger than 1/2 acre 'lawns' do we see that might be pleasing to look at but sure are not helping to fill our tummys? I kid you not, but my area had a dusting of snow today [thursday]
May your garden grow well this season.

Hi Gardener, I'm in Arizona and love gardening and chickens too. Any input here would be great. Anyone up for seed swapping? That's always fun.
