I'm not sure if I spelled that right but, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! Someone asked me if it was ok to use that for milking dairy goats. I didn't know so, I thought I'd present the question to you Berneice and Vicki. Is it?Thanks!!

Hi katie,I am not sure since we use wormers such as ivomec. I think you can get information on DE at www.7mfarm.com I have read information saying its an effective wormer and then read articles saying it isn't. I've never used it. Wish I could be of more help. Out of curiosity, let me know what you find out.

DE is an effective wormer, except in the case of new goats coming onto the farm , it is the only wormer i do and can use(its organic, i farm organicly) fed at the rate of 5 lbs per ton it repels bugs and cut worms from your grain, well, ok , not quite, actually it simply kills them ...feed at 1 cup per doe, mixed in feed, (wear a mask) as a "heavy" wormer, or once a month 1/2 cup mixed in feed, for a 150 lb doe
you can buy it and have the feed mill mix it in , thats what i do, they mix in 10 lbs per ton, it keeps the regular load of worms low, and i dust with it monthly for fleas and ticks, again wearing a mask.
i use with ALL my animals, from goats to dogs cats and chickens, even the horse and cow, and now llama :)
two good sources for it are , if youre out west, azurestandard.com or anywhere else, groworganic.com
