I enjoyed Bob Hanson’s RDC article in the latest issue of the Right Way. It did remind me of something I have been wondering about. I have read a little about Hugh Coverdale and how he purchased the TA&G in 1929 and how his firm of Coverdale & Colpitts ran it up till the Siskin era. I have also read similar stories about RRs contracting with them to evaluate their operation. My question is this, is Coverdale & Colpitts still around and if not what happened to them? Many Thanks, Warren

I am Hugh Coverdale Jr.'s grandson. And I have been looking for information on his family's life. I was curious to know if anyone has historical information on Coverdale and Walpitts?Thank you for your time.

I am one of Walter Colpitts' grandchildren. It is interesting to read that there is still interest in Coverdale and Colpitts.

Coverdale & Colpitts, founded in 1904, became Broadview Research Corporation in 1957, and in 1964 was reorganized as URS Corporation. URS is ranked the nation's #1 engineering design firm by Engineering News Record, and has 16,000 employees in over 300 worldwide offices. URS has a long tradition of transportation projects. As an architectural historian for URS Corporation, I am interested in the early history of Coverdale & Colpitts and would value a copy of this article. I work with a number of former Georgians as well...
Thanks,
