popsicle recipe

Does anyone have a recipe for juice pops using the plastic molds? Mine don't "stick" to the sticks and I can never get them out of the molds.

no recipe, anything will work...koolaid, juice, fruit juice from the can, etc....whatever. try using an ice cube tray with toothpicks in it, or if you wanna get fancy you can always buy popcicle sticks at a craft store.

My mon used to use the juie from canned fruits and they were sooooo good. Sometimes she used popsicle molds and sometimes dixie cups with popsicle sticks (really cheep at the craft store) in them when we had too much juice. To get the popsicles out just let them sit on the counter for a few minutes so that the outer layer melts and lets go of the sides easier. If you just can't wait then run the bottom under hot water for a second. Good luch and good eats.

Here's a really good cold treat for summer.

I buy the boxed juice drinks for my grandkids, and then I put some of them in the freezer. (You can use the Capri drinks too).

I take them from the freezer, and then . . *I* . . cut around the top of the box about an inch or more down from the top, pop that piece off, and then use it like a popsicle, or push up, as once you get down to the box area, you keep pushing it up till it's gone. If there is meltdown, it stays in the bottom of the box and you drink it like juice.

These are GOOD! They really quench the thirst when you come in from farm chores in the hot sun!

My grandkids love them, and they are getting some nutrients instead of just sugar water from popsicles.

Gelatin. They won't drip so badly.

1 pkg Jello 1 cup hot (boiling) water 1/2 cup sugar 1 pkg Koolaid ( unsweetened) 4 cups water (cold)

Dissolve Jello in hot water. Mix in remaining ingredients and pour into molds or dixie type cups. Insert sticks when almost frozen. Makes a lot so have enough molds ready.
