Hi,,I have a friend that has cancer. She has decided to go for the Natural cures (as offered by some Naturalist doctors) Actually, of all the folks that I've known to try natural remedys, it hasn't worked. Do any of you know of anyone that "actually" has been cured of cancer using only natural remedys? Patsy

There are many types of treatment. Even clinically accepted treatments haven't been proven 100%. There are no "cures" for cancer, only remission. Natural remedies, as with clinically accepted should be presented to medical professionals for second or third opinions if any doubt or uneasyness is evident on the part of the patient.

Patsy, I think there are many alternatives in life. A lot depends on what form of cancer your friend has.

I know of some native american families who have gone to Shamen, or Medicine men and had their cancer disapear. No medical doctor was able to find any trace of it in the body or blood. I truely believe that a persons frame of mind is what is most important. I think if Jay is right an there is no cure for cancer, all we can hope for is prolonging life until a cure can be found. Traditional medicine or natural/holistic medicines are, I feel, what ever makes the person who has this illness most comfortable. Many people who use traditional medicine don't have luck either. I think it is a toss up. I would encourage your friend to look into hospice.

I have a friend who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.... BAD stuff and pretty much too late to do anything about it. SHe had 8 children and the youngest was 2yo. They did surgery but felt she was too far gone for chemo. She did natural stuff and even when to Mexico. We all thought she was crazy but a year later she is well enough for them to start chemo. WHo knows.... maybe all that carrot juice did some good...

I have had a couple of friends with bad cancer. Both went to a hospice and were pleased, including the family, with the care they received. All in all, a hospice is a good place to die.

Folks I just happend to check in and noticed this post. I HAVE been healed of colon cancer, heart disease and dibetes by the Power and Might of Almighty God. It happened on Jan 12, 02. The healing of heart disease was confirmed 4 days later with an EKG. I haven't went back for confirmation of the cancer healing yet. I hate hospitals and am puttin it off as long as I can---however--I AM healed of it.

For all who doubt the Healing from Almighty God--check out Is. 53:5, I Peter 2:24. For the herbal cure for cancer--www.herbalhealer.com has testimonys from bunches of folks who claim they were healed by herbs. The 4 herbal Tea they claim kills the fungus infection of the blood. Once that infection is killed then the immune system attacks the cancer cells destroying them.

As Susan alread posted -the right frame of mind has a lot to do with healing of anykind. The Word says that we control life and death with what we speak.

I sure thank all of you for the sincere comments. I have read and "listened" and believe that maybe a really concentrated healthy diet CAN help,,perhaps put the cancer into remission.(for various lengths of time). But to actually make the tumor disappear is what I am wondering. I have read and heard that sometimes the tumors do shrink and disappear but always with chemo-therapy.

She is going to specialist in Russia and has planned a second trip to Moscow. I just am not convinced and am very worried about my friend. But can't influence her one way or the other. I expect she will make arrangements for a hospice when and if the time comes. Wish I had more confidence in the Naturualist.

THE FOLLOWING IS FAITH BASED: I am a realist,,so am not looking for "miracle cures". But my faith helps me know beyond a shadow of a doubt that "with God all things are possible". However, God has a "time and place" for everything in the stream of time according to his word. What we may think HE should do is not always within his purpose according to our time table. In his wisdom HE carries out his purpose according to HIS time table. This is so hard for many to understand and is very hard to accept sometimes. I haven't posted in awhile, although I do check in daily to see how everyone is doing. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and my last surgery was April 10th where I learned it had spread into the lymph nodes. Today was the day I met with the oncologist for the first time to work out my path of treatment. I start Chemo on May 16th for 6 months, then radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks. I think everyone has to determine what if any treatment they want for themself, but for me, I don't want to leave any stone unturned because I will only get one chance at it more than likely. Research changes everyday, new and better methods come along and along with it, success rates are increasing at a phenomenal rate. I've talked to many survivors that have walked where I am about to go. I love life, I love my family and friends and I want to live as long as possible therefore I am very proactive in my treatment which has a proven palpable track record. Your friend has to make that decision, but she really has to make an intelligent decision based on fact, and proven results and in all fairness to herself, my only suggestion is that she take a look at the alternative to what she is considering and make an appointment with an oncologist for a lengthy consultation. It's ok to change her mind more than once on this.... I did multiple times regarding the just how extensive I wanted my surgery to be. I ended up electing the one option I said from the start I didnt want. There is a lot to digest and there is time to digest it all, there doesn't have to be a be rush. Offer my encouragement whatever she decides, stand by your friend, she will need lots of support ( even when she tries to act strong for the benefit of everyone around her ) I will be interested to know how things are going for her, so keep us updated. Carole,,thank you for sharing your personal experience with me and the other CS's. I appreciate what you said and inclined to go with what has been proven as well. I have another friend that just finished all of her weeks of chemo and radiation,,now she has gotten her color and hair back,,looks and feels much stronger,,,has a wonderful outlook on life,,

I just hope I can find the right words to say to my Russian friend and encourage her not to wait too long to consider other proven treatments..She too has young children, no suport from her husband, (sadly),they are getting divorced. She has all that stress to deal with as well.***
