Climbing Partner(s) Sought Mt. Kenya Dec 02greenspun.com : LUSENET : MCK Virtual Clubhouse--Expedition Partners : One Thread |
I am looking for a climbing partner to summit Mt. Kenya during a two week period from 21st December 02 to 5th Jan 03. I am from in the UK and have 20 years climbing experience including about 6 trips to the European Alps. I would be interested in any of the rock aroutes to the summit(s), including the normal south east face route. Technically I climb to about ED1 standard in the Alps but prefer things to be a little easier than that. I am able to cover the costs of portering. I would need about 3-5 days for acclimatisation before any summit attempt.Early contact would be appreciated so as to take advantage of the lower costs of early booking of flights

I'm living in Niarobi and always looking for partners to climb Mt Kenya with. Sorry if this is a bit uncertain, but I'm not sure what I'm doing over Christmas/new year this year. So might be around to climb with you. I use two very good porters/guides who can climb the South East face route easily, so you could climb with them if all else fails.Mail me nearer the time when I know my plans.
