My piano players!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Most of you know my 3 girls all play the piano. Last time their teacher gave them a song where they all 3 play together. I think it is called a "trilloette" They sit all in a row, and play with their hands so close together that they often have fingers on the same keys. Well they practiced this song seperately, then with 2 at a time, then finaly all three together. The first time I watched them playing together I had tears in my eyes!!!They are all so beautiful, and they played it so nicely. It was just a joy to see so many years of practice come together in one beautiful piece of music!

Now their teacher is 80 years old, very nice, but STRICT. When I picked them up I asked her how she liked it and she said it was "PERFECT" and BELIEVE ME that is not a compliment she gives lightly!!! She said their timing, notes, fingering, everything was exactly right. So I am very proud of them for working so hard together. They are truly wonderful young ladies: Kadia, Megan, and Lindsey, I love you!!!

I grew up in a small Southern Baptist Church where one brother was the music director and the other played the piano. We had some interesting choir practices, that's for sure! Talk about the "evil eye" shooting back and forth!

Both brothers actually played the piano, and one Sunday we were treated to having them BOTH play the same piano at the same time - it was amazing, and they did it so well! (We joked that it was probably the best they had ever cooperated in their lives! - they were both in college at the time, pretty young).

Being able to learn an instrument like that is really a blessing and a gift. Being able to share it with others, especially like your girls have done, is amazing.

Congratulations to you ALL!

That is really great that your girls kept practicing and found a way to make it work for them, in practising two at a time, then three. Tell them , that that kind of effort and patience really pays off in the long run. I've been playing piano for about twelve years now, and I love it soo much, the better you get , the more you love it. Tell them, way to go. =)
