Corinthian League Match 1
December 6 1998, Middlebrough away, 2-2 draw. Great substitute goal from Dabz and a screamer from Charvet still couldn't make this feel like anything but 2 points hoyed away.

Other than that one extraordinary result, the home teams used the backing of their crowds to undo their opponents.

........over-weight, and over here?

I think the Baltimorons were just better organised after their experiences in the much-maligned Frank the Cat Benefit Cup.

To be honest, we were unprepared. I put this down in part to a lack of warning that this fixture was up coming. Had we known in advance, we'd have done some extra training - eating Balti pies. As it was, we only had a a slim chance of a result. Might have been a lot b@tter if I'd picked Little Kevin Diet.

We at unreal whalemeat all hate to lose but 4-3 is entertaining to the fans even Manure ones.

Not a bad start for the Racers holding big-spending Big End. Roll on the Fatties!

Bastards. Here we go again.
You couldn't post up a table showing everyone's squads, could you, softie?

Wark make a decent start with their 3 stunning goals at this opening fixture. GMF (weren't they a band? Unbelievable) on the other hand spawned all their three with dodgy in off the arse, ref, pet poodle...y'knaa what their ground is like, full of all sorts... ;-)So I took a big chance at the Corinthians' dance
With a team who was ready to play
Was a me they were foolin'
'Cause they knew what they were doin'
And I know the team is here to stay
And the lads sing
Wark this way! etc...

Glad to see the momentum from the Frank the Cat cup has carried forward into the season. But it's early days so we won't be counting our catnip before the chickens have snorted it.

Just for the record, the Cosmostars now play and train on natural, laboratory-tested grass pieces and parts.
