After the stress with the premature birth of twins last week it was so nice to have an uncomplicated kidding today. One of my first fresheners an experimental (alpine/lamancha) was bred to my Oberhasli buck and she gave me a doe and buck a couple of hours ago. They look just like my ober babies! I wasn't sure what they would look like! I did want the lamancha ears but I cant complain since they are healthy. : ) Only one more doe to go. The sister to the one that kidded today. I crossed her the same. I have a couple of weeks till she is due. :) :) :)

Shari, I know what you mean. Seems like everytime Joe has to be at a dog show for the weekend, it's cold, raining, awful outside and that's when I get the difficult births. A few nights ago when Joe was gone again, a lady gave birth. Slam, bam, thank you mam, no problems. It was a warm night, a full moon, no problems all is well. I guess that's the reward for going through the tough times.Dennis
