Who did that song "I'm coming up the rough side of the mountain?" (Hopefully Jerryl will know). Isn't is exciting or amazing to look back at your faith journey and see where you've been. When I was younger I heard a lot of talk about faith journeys. I think about being a child and hating God and then realizing that he loved me no matter how I felt about him and that gave me the courage to love him. Do you think about your own faith journey? "Have you come up the rough side of the mountain in your faith journey."

I have individually shared with many of you my story. When I was going though I thought it was the rough side of the mountain. But looking back, He was leading me through the valley and the shadow of death. In fact He was often carrying me--His young lamb--in His bosom. So I can truly sing, "Glory To His Name."

Rev. Denise Try the site www.blackgospel.com . I think you can find the answer to your question there. I am still climbing my mountain experience. At times it seems I have not climbed much as the mountain seems too high to ascend. Then I look back and see how far God has brought me. God Bless You

Right again, Bro Jerryl. Rev F. C. Barnes and Rev Janice Brown

Just a plug for my hometown. Rev. F. C. Barnes & Sister Janice Brown are from Rocky Mount, N.C., twenty miles west of my home Tarboro, N.C. The classic duet by Barnes/Brown withstood a legal challenge in the early 80s in which a rival composer flasely accused the two of pilfering the lyrics. Tarboro is a "sprawling metropolis" where agriculture is king (tobacco is the cash-crop) and the best barbeque in America is served. Our population is less than 10,000 ( including the chickens and the hogs) but we have produced our share of distinguished citizens like my grand parents, my Momma and Daddy, former pro football standout, Kelvin Bryant and Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Henry Hugh Shelton.
