April is upon us. I pray that those who have been praying for Muslims, Christians in Muslim lands, and situations in these places have been blessed as a result. Know that God hears every prayer even if it's impossible for us to know the results in this life.

Important events are in progress throughout the Muslim world, especially the Middle East (rembember many Muslims don't live in the Middle East). It's hard to interpret what's going on in the light of Scripture only from what the media says, but this we know: 1. Nothing is happening by accident because God is in control 2. The nation of Israel plays a central role in the Book of Revelation, so those who think they can extinguish her existence are living an illusion 3. Islam is a false religion 4. We are called to rescue as many as we can from the clutches of false religion, and that begins with prayer.

For those who may be wondering, these prayer request come from the Center for Ministry to Mulims (CMM).

Pray that Christians would become knowlegeable of the true nature of Islam. Pray they would learn that we don't serve the same God, and that they would not accept it as a valid faith. Pray that Christians would develop a warrior spirit regarding Islam, and would commit to specific spiritual warfare against it for the long term.

The Middle East conflict is very complex and if not handled wisely by our leaders will most assuredly thrust the world into world war III. We certainly need to be praying for our leaders as they seek to negotiate a peace settlement. We certainly need to pray for Muslims. However, it occurred to me last week that the solution to peace in the Middle East is a spiritual solution.

The Saviour of the world was crucified in that land over 1900 years ago. He came to His own and they did not accept Him as their Messiah. Why should the Israeli's, God's chosen people, expect to live in that land with peace and prosperity if they haven't accepted Jesus as their saviour?I thank God for the original Jewish christians who wrote the Bible and my friends who are messianic jews. I believe that if God's chosen people would accept Jesus as their Saviour/Messiah that God would smite their enemies. Please pray that Israel will accept Jesus as their saviour.

Please pray that Christians would not be deceived into believing that Islam is a religion of peace. As stated by CMM, "Although orthodox Islam idealizes peace, it has historically been the peace that follows when non-Islamic peoples agree to Islamic rule, accept exclusion from the political process, and are prohibited from speaking of their faith to Muslims." By their fruits we shall know them.

Pray that Christians would understand that while democratic societies allow Muslims to practice their faith, we are not "brother mono- theistic religions". Our job is to pray for and evangelize them even as we would a person who has no religious faith. Pray that we will desire to see them saved unto Jesus for the salvation of their souls.
