I got my hands on some pretty good soybean hay. Can rabbits handle this without problems?

Soybean "hay" is really straw. Very little nutritional value. Good for bedding, not good for feeding. Someone back me up on this.

if its that far gone and its straw,,, then it woundlt be "hay" anymore. There is such a thing as soybean hay, again,, if they eat it,, they can handle it,, will they do well on it?? You'll have to look up the nutritional value of it

I don't know anything about Soybean Hay, but I do know that rabbits will eat just about anything you give them, doesn't mean they can handle it or that it won't cause problems. JMHO :)

Kevin; Soybean hay is put up before the beans are mature, while the foliage is still in the vegetative stage. Protein content is very high and the immature beans add to the food value. Cattle fed such hay will sometimes scour.

The reason I wanted to know about feeding it to rabbits is that I was afraid it might be too rich.

Nobody I know puts up soybean straw after combining the beans. Why would they do that? I did not know there was even a use for such materiel.
