Any Easter Dinner Ideas?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread |
I could use some Easter Dinner Ideas for a group of about 35. I want to try the hashbrown casserole recipe Karen shared earlier. Any other favorites for a crowd? Thank you!

My favorite crowd dessert is the banana split cake and so easy to make and everyone that's tried it likes it. Either mix up a white cake or buy an angel food cake, 2 lg containers of frozen strawberries, a bunch of bananas, a can of crushed pineapple and 2 lg containers of cool whip. Crumble 1/2 the cake in a lg bowl add 1/2 the other ingred. ending with the cool whip and then repeat the layers. Sometimes I add pudding to the layers. It's best to leave it set for a day to let everything combine. Garnish with nuts if you want. Now I want some and don't have a crowd to make it for.

Lots & lots of easy crowd pleasing----make ahead salads----for part of the dinner-

For the meat, I would go with a traditional glazed ham. It is easy, feeds a bunch, looks pretty, and for some people it just isn't Easter with ham. It would also compliment the hashbrown casserole. You could then just go with a another vegetable or two or salad, some nice dinner rolls or homemade bread and Terri's desert, which sounds quick and easy and could be made ahead.Starting today, I will be posting some Easter recipes for the next 7 days, so you might want to stay tuned!

Thank you everybody! Ham, hashbrown casserole, salads and Terri's yummy banana split desert. Sounds like a winner to me! I might skip the llama and pizza this time. LOL!
