I would like to know if there is any type of person or problem for wich reality therapy (and teaching CT) is not recommended... Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

Glasser says that he thinks all Reality Therapy counselling is, at heart, teaching Choice theory to the client. Every human who experiences the normal frustrations and problems of daily life wil be able to handle them more effectively if they have internalised the tenets of Choice Theory. However, there would still be discussion as to whither you would use the full Reality Therapy model with someone who is ,for example, in the early stages of a traumatic Bereavement. Nonetheless "Involvement", the first Reality Therapy stage, would be very benificial here in my opinion.
