Here in the First District we are mourning the loss of our beloved Bishop the Rt. Reverend Father in God, Bishop Donald G.K. Ming. In my opinion, a King has fallen, but will not be forgotten. I remember our conversations in his office about the future of my ministry as a young pastor and how he rememebered how it was when he was my age pastoring. Bishop mIng always had time to talk to people, especially his young preachers. He always gave a word of instruction and encouragement. Yes a King has fallen and we will miss him dearly. Camelot had it's King Arthur, and the First District had it's Bishop Ming. Great Kings are never forgotten, and neither will our beloved Bishop Donald George Kenneth Ming be forgotten. Sleep on Bishop and take your rest. The First District loved(loves) you, but God loves you best.

To The Ming Family and Members of The First Episcopal District

We mourn the lost of a Great preacher and teacher, a Great Man, a man with Dignity who laboured in the vineyard of the Master. He was a respected Bishop, a Great Leader and Friend. Our deepest sympathy with the Home Going of our beloved Bishop. The A.M.E Church has lost a great man, the church is poorer now, but in Heaven there is joy because Bishop Ming has come Home.

Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying or pain".

God Bless you during this time of pain and suffering "Be not dismayed, what e'er be tide, God will take care of you Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you".
