I am a interested in learning about open water rowing. Are there any publications, either commercial or club sponsored to which I can subscribe? I have searched, but have found none.

It depends on what you mean by "learn about open water rowing" but you can get some basic tips on technique at the web page of Open Water Rowing Center in Sausalito,CA. They are at www.owrc.com. In addition, I recommend you check out www.soundrowers.org. This club in Puget Sound sponsors a number of events and activities for open water rowers, and you'd be welcome to join in the fun.
