Two of British comedy's true geniuses, both now sadly departed.

Spike took lithium for his manic depression, and wrote most of the Goon show scripts in a blaze of mania.

Cookie was never diagnosed MD but many (including his first wife) suspect he was, citing his wild mood swings and extraordinarily surreal wit.

Is anybody reading this? Does anybody care?
